I get to talk with Bruce Horrell, he is a REAL life long waterfowler. along with his 60 years of shooting, he has spent 42 of them with Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. Making television shows for almost two decades. We talk about everything from the good old days of lead shot, to his first bolt action shotgun. Decoys, boats, steel shot, and his record 30 year stretch of never missing a day of duck season. He has hosted TV shows for Wolf Creek Productions, and coming this Jan he co host a new show on the Outdoor Channel. Gun Dog TV, its sure to be a hit with all of us. So grab a Miller Lite, sit back and enjoy
Taking the time to let you know how much i enjoyed this episode of the podcast. This morning, on the way to my favorite central IL goose lake, i listened to your conversation with Bruce not once but twice. I'm 24 years old, but i grew up with a Grandpa and Uncle who hunted the famed Southern IL honker hay-days, and it was EXTREMELY interesting for me to hear someone else's take on everything. Never knew anything about the lawsuit that ensued-AND that the geese were actually Lessers. I plan to use a great deal of the podcast as fodder for more discussion with my Grandpa. Anyway, i just wanted to let you know how much i enjoy not just this episode but the podcast as a whole. Much like yourself, i consider myself a wingshooter first and foremost, but i occasionally chase deer and cottontails when the opportunity presents. That being said, i think your podcast fills it's niche perfectly(i enjoy it more than Rinella's, respectfully). Final note, not usually my style to reach out to celeb's online but I was kicking it around and thought-I gotta let this dude know just how enjoyable this was for me. Rock on Ron!
Keep them coming my friend,
Mark
